SUBMISSION CALL | Seeking Illustrators for Issue #9

Hark, art-doer! Perhaps it is you of which the sages speak…

Do you wield the ox-hair brush as a duelist wields their rapier? Can you conjure rainbows and stardust from empty air? Is your mind a-jostle with meaty thews and heroic T-zones?

Submissions are now open to cover artists and spot illustrators for an upcoming theme issue, featuring pulpy tales of suspense and cover-to-cover action! Touchstones include Jack Kirby, Frank Frazetta, and Mœbius. If it SOCKs, POWs, BLAMMOs, or KER-CHAKs, we want it!

Our covers are full color and our spot illustrations are grayscale. We take all sorts and styles—drawings, paintings, digital art, whatever slicks your canvas. Browse our gallery of previous illustrations to get a feel for our brand.

If you’re interested, send an email to PlanetScummSubmissions@gmail.com with a link to your portfolio—or a PDF with up to 5 relevant work samples—and a brief introduction to you and your work. If selected, we’ll follow-up with a shiny collection of assignment details. Submissions close on October 20th, 2019.

Artists will be paid a flat fee of $50 (or $100 if you do both spots and cover) and a 3% stake in issue royalties.
