Our first 24-hour RPG marathon with Extra Life was a huge success! We are so thankful for our players, guest DMs, and donors who helped our team turn our weird, little hobby into a force for good. Ultimately, we raised $1,900, which nearly doubles our goal.

Word is we’ll be getting one of these fancy gold medals in the mail, which I think will mark our first gold medal since Tyler got a gold-ish participation medal in his youth soccer league.

If you missed the chance to donate, our page is still live. And if you’re curious about the mayhem that ensued, our games are streaming on our twitch channel. I recommend late night D&D, when fresh faces brought a much needed burst of energy to the hellscape of Avernus. For people who were only tuning in to watch us suffer, go straight for the end-of-marathon Fiasco game, in which Sean and Ty are truly at their wit’s ends.

“Lasers and Feelings” was its own trip down the storied annals of our galactic meta-fiction. This two-hour game saw the son of our slimy mascot go back in time to asexually invent the whole line of scumms, only for another son-of-scumm to undo their existence permanently. Play your own version of our unique hack of the famously versatile game by accessing the gamebook here

Overall it was such a positive beacon of community, creativity, and generosity that gave all of us playing such a lift in a truly bananas time. We’re all still living through science fiction, but we are living through it together.
